Competition:

There are many competitors in our field. We believe that our direct competitors are those who are competing in our market using our current marketing strategies. For example those who are easily found on the internet, through print mediums and direct mail. We have identified 5 such companies. Competitors’ Strengths • An already established customer base • A solid track record • Established and proved products and services • They offer higher accreditation • Some of their products and service are not offered by us, such as IT training Competitors’ Weaknesses • Ridged system • Inflexibly products and services • Mostly only offered off-site • On-site training is expensive • The cost of their products and services is expensive • They require minimum numbers • Have large overheads

Expansion Potential:

There is a huge potential in the market. There are currently approximately 113000 companies in Ireland with 45 000 in Dublin alone, employing more than 2 095 400 employees who we estimate will, on average receive one day’s training per year at a cost of approximately €300 each. This makes the market size in excess of €628 620 000 a year and growing. Our niche market is found in the weakness of our competitors. We will be able to fill a gap in the market which our competitors are unable to do. We aim at businesses who feel that training is important yet does not merit the resources required by mainstream training companies. Our clients are those who would like to train but do not have the resources such as time, energy, staff and finances, all of which are demanded by our competitors. While these clients may have a smaller budget for training there are a vast number of them. There are some key areas in which the company can grow within the next few months and years. One key area is in the field of open-courses. As the economy slows down many people are considering furthering their education and receiving further training. This means that many private individuals will be looking for training with our large corporate image we are in a good position to take advantage of this situation. Open-courses are also very lucrative. With an average course participation of 12 individuals paying €400 each and with over heads running at approximately €500 there is close on to €4300 in profit available per course- minus marketing fees of course. The other potential lies in the area of accredited training. While the company does not hold such accreditation there are ways to offer such courses. This information can and will be revealed to a serious buyer. Accredited courses, while being more expensive for the consumer, appear to be of a higher quality according to consumers and are therefore well sought after. It would not take much to offer accredited programmes in soft skill training.
